My philosophy is simple.
Nothing good in the world happens without quality conversations. Nothing happens without an effective, clear and positive exchange of ideas. We can improve leaders' productivity, morale, safety and performance by simply learning how to communicate better.
“Nothing good in the world happens without quality conversations.”
Everything I do is about creating openness and transparency. I’ve been there and done that, and I don’t know about you, but I don’t have time for B.S. You won’t find jargon here, but you will find tough love and a keen sense of humour. I teach leaders how to be more transparent, too. With openness comes trust. The trust to have those tough conversations and make them better, clearer and more direct. That’s the only way to have a healthy work environment. I work this way for my clients, and I coach them to work this way with their teams to make things go more smoothly.
“With openness comes trust. The trust to have those tough conversations and make them better, clearer and more direct.”
This is a Safe Space, Just for You
With this kind of work, having a safe space to work things out is really important. I’m not your boss or team. I’m here for YOU and no one else’s agenda. I honour each individual's own strengths as a leader and work to bring those forward while also making it comfortable for you to face your challenges By developing each individual’s strengths, the entire team and organization benefit. In this safe space, we can think creatively, hash things out and determine what works. This is the beauty of ongoing support - we get to know each other better than in a 5-day course! We can actually take the time to implement what you’re learning and tweak results as you go.

Be Present, Be Mindful
It’s important to have goals, to be sure, But let’s feel good about where you are right now and be grateful for progress as we make it. This is tough work but let’s celebrate success and forward movement. Not everyone needs to be a groundbreaking, transformational visionary. It’s a noble goal to simply be really good at your job and (gasp) actually enjoy it.

Cooperation, not Collaboration
Collaboration is about coming together because you know it’s going to benefit you to work with that person. I prefer to foster cooperation. Cooperation is more about co-creation: working together for a greater, common purpose. Collaboration tends to start with “What’s in it for me?” Cooperation comes from “How can we make this better together?”
Let’s cooperate as individuals and companies for the common good. Individuals can be happy and supported on the job, and the company gets increased productivity and growth. This leads to less turnover, happier customers (inside and out), happier suppliers, and happier interactions with other departments. Everyone can work together to get the best out of each other.
It all comes down to how we make requests and have conversations. I help leaders become effective co-creators, not dictators. This leads to better safety, better working conditions and happier, more productive teams.
“Everyone can work together to get the best out of each other. Which leads to better safety, better working conditions and happier, more productive teams.”
Leadership is an Inside Job
Leadership is not just a list of tasks and accomplishments. A person’s moods and emotions are very important to how effective a leader he or she can be. We might not feel capable, confident or efficient.
My philosophy is to “treat” the whole person (and teams) and help them get out of their own way.
My core coaching framework, ontological coaching, helps you understand how language, mood, emotion and body affect your leadership abilities on any given day. Otherwise, you won’t be in the right frame of mind to have the right conversations.
I work with clients on their core narratives from the inside out. This is why you need ongoing leadership support: you can’t just check a box, attend a course, and be “set for life.” We’re humans, not machines. If you want lasting impact, you need ongoing support.
“Leadership is an inside job. A person’s moods and emotions are very important to how effective a leader he/she can be."
It’s About You, Not Me
I’m here to be an invisible catalyst for you when you need support or just want to do your job better.
Not everyone has to be a visionary, high-powered, transformational leader.
But everyone wants to manage tasks, overcome challenges and lead people better so they can have a good week and a safe, happy team. I work with leaders where they are, with who they’ve got, and make things successful for everyone.
We work toward whatever success looks like for you or your team. I’m your company’s missing link between sending your people off to an expensive one-time program and ongoing, on-the-job support for the rest of the year. The piece that most companies struggle to provide.
You could say I will improve your Training ROI by providing the often time missing back-on-the-job support to implement new concepts.
